M17 - 5" refractor plus 2X extender

Equipment:   5" f9 refractor, G11, Taurus Tracker, ST4, Canon 2x Telextender.  

Conditions:    Wonderful 

Film:              Kodak LE400     

Exposure:      1 hour

Comments:    I tried some shots using the Canon 2X telextender as an experiment.  The image scale is much nicer on this shot but the exposure times have really increased - as would be expected.  In addition the bright stars seem to have taken on even bigger "blue halos".  The use of this extender with an achromat is not working out very well.
