Orion's Belt
Date: February 1999
Location: Tucson Arizona - Empire Ranch Dark Site
Equipment: 200mm f 3.5 Soligor Telephoto Lens, Equatorial Camera Platform, Manually guided using an Orion Short Tube 80.
Conditions: Outstanding - Dark and Clear
Film: Kodak Ektapress PJ 400
Exposure: 10 Minutes
Comments: A nice piggyback type shot. You can see M42 and many surrounding NGC objects in the "sword" of Orion. You can also see the Horsehead Nebula (B 33) and the Flame Nebula (NGC 2024). The straight line is a satellite trail.
