Long Exposure Lagoon

Date:              September 1st and 2nd 2007

Location:        Seven Sisters Observatory - Manchester MI

Equipment:    Megrez 90 APO w/ WO FF-III, Canon 10D Modified

Conditions:     Good until Moonrise

Film:               None!  DSLR @ ISO 400

Exposure:       32 X 300 seconds with 8 X 300 seconds dark frames

Comments:     I wanted to see if a longer total exposure at a lower ISO (gain) would help to minimize noise when shooting on these warm summer nights.  I took these shots over two nights prior to moonrise and for the most part I am happy with it.  I like the "stuff" that showed up in the upper left, IC 1275, IC 1275, IC 4685 and NGC 6559.  Also visible near there is a planetary nebula - PLN 6-2.1 and the globular cluster visible near the bottom of the frame NGC 6544.
